Planning Developments around Middleton Stoney

Several developments are taking place around Middleton Stoney. The Parish Council is in contact with most developers to ensure these projects will not adversely affect the village. Additionally, we aim to secure benefits for the community in light of the disruptions these developments may bring.

Ideas and suggestions from village
• Using section 106 monies to collate data and evidence, surveys etc
• Installing a live webcam at crossroads – such as you see at ski resorts and beaches
• Rectify issues with speed cameras so they record data
• Build evidence on air quality as a result of traffic
• Pilot community speed watch – George and Jo Dunn already volunteered
• Develop a series of case studies on what has worked in other areas with similar issues of traffic and development
• Increase the amount of communication of surrounding villages and PC not part of MCNP – more parish councils working together
• Toll roads!
• Use the press to name and shame with particular reference to S106
• Develop our own traffic modelling
• Investigate again parking options for village hall to make it more useable
• Revisit Cherwell traffic data
• By pass priority – as a community we need to try and agree on a proposed route so we are on same page should this ever come to light
• What do we mean by traffic – we need to define this – volume, lorries, cars
• ANPR should be pushed for where existing routing agreements are in place
