The trail starts at All Saints’ Church and for gardening enthusiasts, this is a unique opportunity to see behind the gates of some genuinely lovely private gardens – with everything from established formal planting to more personal, idiosyncratic spaces – as well as an opportunity to visit our local Hindu temple and a rare chance to enter the grounds of Middleton Park.
And of course, every gardener deserves an afternoon off. So we’re hoping your members will put down their trowels for a few hours, come and enjoy what others have been quietly growing, and finish the afternoon with a homemade scone in All Saints’ churchyard, which on a May afternoon is, we think, very hard to beat.
Alongside the gardens, All Saints Church will be hosting the Artweeks exhibition throughout the week (9 -17 May), so there’s art to enjoy as well as gardens. And our plant stall will have plenty of interesting varieties to take home – which counts as gardening, just the enjoyable part.
Tickets are £10 and all proceeds go towards the Church. The flyer is attached with all the information you will need to plan your visit.
We’d love to see you on the day
Sorry a bit late. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Some great gardens and superb teas. Hope you made plenty of money.
